Why shop in store? Visiting the store is the fastest way to get everything you need and get answers to all your questions!
- Support Local - The Bookstore employs students, makes regular donations, and is an active sponsor of various programs and campus improvements. Our revenue goes right back into the community that we serve.
- One-Stop Shopping - We stock all the titles you’ll need for your courses, in various formats when available, so there’s no guesswork and no shopping around. Don’t waste time waiting for a package to arrive, not to mention the extra cost of shipping charges. Take your book home the same day!
- Friendly & Helpful Service - Our top priority is our students. We will work with you to find what you need as quickly and as easily as possible. We’re just a phone call, email, or a short walk away. Reach out though our Contact page and we will be happy to help you.
When is the Bookstore open?
- University closures: In the event that the University is closed, the Bookstore shall also be closed. For more information, visit the Univeristy Holiday schedule and download the official MUNSafe app to stay informed about weather-related closures.
- Extended hours: At the beginning of the Fall and Winter semesters, the store operates with extended hours.
- Summer hours: The University has reduced hours during the summer months (June, July, August).
All changes to our regular operating schedule are announced on our website and/or social media. Be sure to check these for up-to-date information!
How do I pick up my online order?
Picking up your online order is as easy as 1-2-3!
- Head to our website to complete your order. At check-out, make sure you select "In-Store Pick-up" before completing your payment. When your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know we've received it.
- Once we've processed your items, we will send you an "Order Ready for Pick-up" email letting you know where to go to pick up your order. Pick-ups are usually done in-store (2nd Floor, University Centre), however our Pick-Up Window (1st Floor, UC) can be open during certain times of the year so make sure you read the email and check our website so you know where you're headed.
- Bring your Order Number (located in the "Ready for Pick-up" email) and valid ID to pick up your order!
Ordering online is available 24/7, throughout the year. You can also choose to have your orders shipped directly to your home (shipping rates apply, see below). Pick-up is available during store hours, which can be viewed on our website and social media. You can also sign up for our mailing list to receive updates about hours changes, sales, promotions, and more.

How do I get a campus card?
How do I find my course materials?
Finding the right course materials for your classes shouldn't be a hassle! The Bookstore is happy to help by providing you the tools you need to set yourself up for success.
1. The Personalized Course Materials List
The PCML is an easy way to find all your course materials in one place. Simply visit the My Personalized Course Materials List page, log-in with your MUN credentials, and find all the required materials for the courses you're registered in.
2. Course Search
For courses you're not currently registered in, visit our Course Search page to find required materials.
- Select the CAMPUS - Make sure you know where the course is being offered: it might be on one of our many campuses (St. John's, Grenfell, Grand Falls - Windsor etc.) or it may be an online course. Tip: Online courses have section numbers beginning with 081-129.
- Select the TERM - The Course Search page will only display active courses, meaning that past and future courses may not show up. For information about inactive courses, consider reaching out to the School or Faculty that is offering the course.
- Select the PROGRAM - Each program has a unique abbreviation (ANTH=Anthropology, ECON=Economics, PHYS=Physics etc.), select the correct program by clicking the (+) icon, which will open a drop-down list of course sections.
- Select the COURSE SECTION - Each course section may be taught by a different instructor and require different course materials. Make sure you are selecting the right section and click GO>>.
You will be taken to a page listing all course materials currently assigned to that section of the course.
If the course is offered online only, choose “Online Courses” (course section numbers begin with 081-129).
When choosing a campus, please select the location where your course is being delivered in-person - ie. if the course you are taking is in-person on the Grenfell Campus, please choose “Grenfell Campus/Remote” (course section numbers begin with 001-059).
