Gown Rentals for Photography

Planning to take grad photos? You can rent a gown and hood with us and take the perfect photos to commemorate this momentous occasion.

How much does it cost?

The total cost of a rental is $100 up-front. This includes the $50 deposit, which will be refunded once rental goods have been returned in their original condition. The deposit will be refunded to the card originally used to make the payment.

Other fees:

  • Late returns will be charged $10 per day, up to the price of the regalia.
  • Rentals which are not returned in the bags provided will be charged a handling fee of $3.

When can I pick up my rental?

Rentals are picked up on Fridays and must be returned the following Monday. 

Exceptions apply during holidays and store closures, which will be announced on our website and social media.

Why can't I rent during Convocation?

To avoid mix-ups, rentals are not available during the week of the official ceremony. If you need academic dress for the ceremony, head over to the Convocation web page.

Can I travel with my rental?

Gowns and hoods are not to be taken out of the St. John's metro area.

When should I book my photographer?

We sincerely recommend you do NOT book your photographer until you have received email confirmation of your booking! There may be rare occasions when we need to cancel or re-book your rental due to limited availability of gowns or hoods.

Bookings are confirmed on a first come, first served basis.

You will receive an email to confirm your booking once our staff have reviewed your request. In the event that the gown and hood requested are not available for the dates specified, our staff will do their best to provide alternatives.
